Terms of Service & Acceptable Use
Last updated: April 14, 2026
1. What EssayDraft.io is
EssayDraft.io (“the service”) is a writing tool and workspace that helps you plan, draft, and edit your own essays. The service provides outlines, structure, drafting support, and editing suggestions. You remain the author of your work and are expected to review, revise, and take ownership of every final piece of text you produce with it.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least thirteen (13) years old to create an account, or the minimum age required by your local law if that age is higher. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed these terms on your behalf. We do not knowingly collect data from users who do not meet this age requirement.
3. Account and access
Authentication is handled through Auth0 with short-lived tokens. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials private. Sharing a single account with other people, or reselling access, is not permitted.
4. Academic integrity and acceptable use
EssayDraft.io is a writing tool, not a submission service. It is intended for brainstorming, outlining, drafting, and editing support. You are solely responsible for how you use any text produced with the help of the service.
Submitting text generated or assisted by this service as your own original work may violate your school, university, or employer's academic integrity policies. Before handing in any work, you are expected to:
- Read, revise, and personalize the draft until it genuinely reflects your own thinking and voice.
- Check your institution's rules on the use of writing tools, editors, and AI-based assistance.
- Disclose the use of the tool whenever your institution requires disclosure.
- Take full responsibility for the final text you turn in.
The following uses are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account termination:
- Fraud, impersonation, or misrepresentation of another person's identity.
- Bypassing plagiarism or AI-detection systems for fraudulent purposes, such as passing off machine-assisted text as entirely your own in a context where that constitutes academic or professional dishonesty.
- Producing content that is illegal, harassing, defamatory, hateful, or that sexualizes minors.
- Attempting to extract credentials, probe for vulnerabilities, or otherwise disrupt the service.
- Automated scraping, resale, or redistribution of the service or its output.
5. Payment and delivery
EssayDraft.io is pay-per-download. You can draft and preview your work for free, and a payment is only charged when you choose to export a clean copy of your document. Payments are processed by Stripe. Because each export is delivered as a digital file unlocked at checkout, purchases are final once the delivery has been initiated.
6. How the writing tool works
The service uses an automated drafting pipeline to produce a starting point that you then edit and refine. The output is a writing aid, not a finished academic submission. You are solely responsible for reviewing, rewriting, and deciding whether any given draft is appropriate for your context.
See the disclaimer for a full explanation of how the pipeline works and what the human-likeness scores mean.
7. Intellectual property
Once you have paid for and exported a document, you are free to use, edit, and adapt that specific file for your own purposes. The EssayDraft.io brand, website, code, and underlying pipelines remain the property of IBLabs.
8. Limitations of liability
The service is provided on an “as is” basis. We cannot guarantee that any draft will match a specific rubric, satisfy any specific academic integrity policy, or pass any particular detector. To the extent permitted by law, EssayDraft.io is not liable for grades, disciplinary outcomes, or any indirect damages arising from the use of the service.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product evolves. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised terms.
10. Contact
